From garage warriors to Vancouver's most unique training facility
Started with five guys, some kettlebells, and a crazy idea. No fancy equipment, just raw determination and ancient training principles we dug up from old manuscripts. Neighbors probably thought we'd lost it with all the battle cries at 6am.
Group grew to 20+ members. Had to move operations to a rented warehouse space. Pandemic hit, but outdoor training kept us going. Turns out Viking training translates pretty well to parks and parking lots. Who knew?
Secured our first proper location. Nothing fancy, but it was ours. Added medieval combat conditioning classes after members kept asking about historical fighting techniques. Brought in a HEMA instructor, things got real interesting real fast.
Developed our signature Warrior Academy program. Combined everything we'd learned into a structured 12-week transformation journey. First cohort of 15 students - watching them evolve was incredible. Still get messages from those folks today.
Moved into our current 8,000 sq ft facility on Nordic Way. Custom-built training areas, proper equipment, even got authentic replica weapons for combat training. It's like stepping into a Norse training hall - exactly what we envisioned from day one.
Over 200 active members now. Expanded to specialized programs including rune circuit training and warrior mindset coaching. We're not done yet - got plans to open training camps and maybe franchise this whole concept. The legend continues to grow.
